What is absent in the Baylor scandal is truth, facts, data and statistics.
This is the reason why nobody will shut up about it.
No one in their right mind is going to defend a man who they know tolerated rape...the pro CAB group isn't convinced of that because they don't have enough evidence.

You act as if the investigation was about CAB only and the football program? That is not what the scope was it was our title IX response to victims. None of us and none of the media expected CAB to be fired do you not remember? The bizarre twist is that for whatever reason the BOR decided to terminate CAB the immediate thought by everyone outside was who would be crazy enough to fire the most successful and likely to be the most popular football coach a school like BU ever had. Was Sam already convicted ? I'm really not sure on the time line. Were there any other sexual assault convictions of Baylor students in the last 5 years or only these two? Just curious

If you remember sam conviction brought the spotlight but not exactly the way you think. It was because our investigation JA/title IX clearled him. Our jA officer McGraw got killed by asst DA in trial and in press. It was how we treated the victims that was causing the heat on school. It got the pub because of football.

I think the frat president investigation was public sometime around then but not sure if that indictment came before or after Texas Monthly. No other SA convictions that I know of but Elliot and SamU. Nor have I heard of any plea deals to lesser charges. Somebody around here will know if they exist.
