Deep in the bureaucracy of this being a reality is a scheme to increase taxes and get more money to colleges from the middle class.

Isnt that what the electoral college does? It prevents 3 or 4 major cities from being able to elect the president by discounting urban votes and giving a higher weight to rural votes. Whether this is right or wrong is debatable but it is what happens. Someone earlier mentioned the diversity of the vote. Not sure what diversity has to do with the vote count.

I don't think America can be saved.

IMO the future of America is a massive government run by socialists. With the way D.C. operates and all the money in politics...there's absolutely nothing anyone can do about it. I've accepted this over the last year or so.

You cannot make it in D.C. without fulfilling your sponsors or lobbyists wishes which will almost always result in you betraying your constituents. It's impossible unless you straight up win the Presidency.

You seem a bit defensive. Are you upset that I don't think AOC is educated on economics and on the wrong side of politics?

I've known a couple of State Reps. a large city Mayor, county Sheriff of a multi-million population county, all of them were closer to a tote the note used car salesmen than your normal person.
