That's the thing about socialist redistributionism. It doesn't matter that it hurts other people more than it hurts you if you have moral fiber and character. If a thing is wrong because it treats different people differently under the law (as progressive taxes and especially confiscatory punitive taxes do) then it's wrong no matter what. I hope you're smart enough to realize that the multimillionaire taxed at 70% rate will change they way he handles his money and how his business handles money which will likely result in a MAJOR decrease in business in an effort to play safer.

This would have an effect on millions of people.

There are massive behavioral implications when policies are changed. It's also ignorant to believe the economy is a zero-sum game and that the rich are hoarding money.
