This is what you get with a ****ed up immigration system. Markets don't get into crisis, they adjust for supply and demand. But triggered authoritarians gonna melt.

Anybody on board with the president's "close the border" plan? Hope your replacement fuel pump is already on this side...
Do you think this is a crisis?

It's the Trump Doctrine again. Manufacture a crisis and then claim to solve it.

You can't be this naive.

Oh yes he is .

The open market 'genius ' who's never owned his own business .
It doesn't require genius or ownership to be pro-capitalism.

Opening up the US border to millions of semi literate, overwhelmingly unskilled illegals isn't 'pro capitalism '.....it's unmitigated stupidity.

The market can handle this better than our current system.

But you scared statists won't let it.
Hard to believe your party can't win an election

I spoke yesterday with the CEO of a Texas Baptist agency tasked by the gov't with caring for minors at the border. The flood of immigrants illegally entering Texas is the worst he has ever seen. He's been caring for these folks for over 30 years now. Yeah, it is a crisis that the gov't does not know how to manage.

When illegal immigration laws were crafted, there was not a system in place to deal with massive criminal cartels who shipped thousands of people into the US along with life threatening drugs.

Also we didn't have a dual policy that accompanied children had the same 20 day restriction, and that accompanied children can't be separated. Combined with that means we can only release family units, and why they are at record highs. Bringing in children is a free pass.

Ridiculous pulp that does not even begin to address the realities of millions of illegals wandering throughout the US.

I love Hong Kong, visit once or twice a year, and am still considering living there at some point. It rates as 90+% free. Singapore is 2nd, and New Zealand, Switzerland Australia and Ireland all finish above 80%. The US is ranked number 13. These are 2019 stats from the Heritage foundation.

https://www.statista.com/statistics/256965/worldwide-index-of-economic-freedom/

Its easy to move in and out of Hong Kong but to work or live there you must qualify for a visa. They re pretty easily obtained.

You are so into worthless phrases and ridiculous fantasy .

Millions of individuals, the vast majority without skills or knowledge of the English language are going to be unable to find work.

They will still need food, medical care, and shelter .

Who is going to provide it when we already have hundreds of thousands of citizens who are desperately in need and living on the streets .

You don't have anything approaching a rational answer because there isn't one.

No country on earth could absorb or pay what would be needed to provide for the millions of illegals that would be transported to our southern border from Central and South America .

And you have no idea how markets work. Capitalism is the best method of resource allocation.

Once the market here has the needed number of workers then people would go elsewhere to find work. I keep talking about the circular flow of labor and you keep acting like you've never heard of it.

Ridiculous....the majority will stay in the US and get aid from wherever - however possible . Anything here would be better than the situation I have seen throughout much of central and South America .

And whose going to pay for that incredible amount of care....you ?

Once they are here....their new borns will be US citizens ....no way in the world the majority will leave the US .

It's simply ridiculous.

It is not ridiculous, it is historically accurate (Bracero program) and well researched, I've posted it here before.

But really it's just high school economics. You remember Adam Smith.

Ridiculous pulp that does not even begin to address the realities of millions of illegals wandering throughout the US.

Help! Help! The wanderers are after my stuff!

"A truly free market requires the free movement of people, not just products and ideas."

Bracero program wasn't open borders or no borders. Bracero required visas. You've been advocating no borders

The Bracero program was far more market driven than our current system.
Okay. No open borders. State required documents, therefore not a market solution (according to you)

According to binary thinking.

I said "far more market driven". And it is.

You don't understand...doubt you really want to. The Bracero program involved far smaller numbers than what we are dealing with today . It's not remotely comparable.

A. There are legal work programs in place right now....hired several over the years . But they lived close by....in Mexico . Not thousands of miles away in central and South America . Folks from there are not going back and forth . They will want to stay regardless of employment.

B. I have been to many places in Central America were they live on 10 dollars a day ....if they can find work at all . Once these people get in our social services system ...there is no way in hell a majority will ever go back .

You can't have a massive welfare state and open borders. The results will be catastrophic. Legal immigration is fine. Let people apply and we only let in those who will be a net positive for the country. Those who are already educated, employed, self-sufficient, etc.

Exactly

I am so glad my parents gave birth to me in Texas so I can be a Texan and kick others off of the ladder as they to try to improve their station in life. The browning of Texas will end life as we know it as more and more pour into the once proud fatherland. Hamburger eateries will turn into taco stands and the once blond haired blue eyed Alishas and Mary Janes will be replaced with brown eyed Marias and Juans. The horror. Some of these moistbacks cant even speak english as good as I do. Now I know how the Indians felt.

Damn them to hell and send the land thieves back to the ****hole they came from. They must think America is some kind of place where a man can get a job and raise a family in peace. What a bunch of losers.

Actually Former Flash is on the right track. Reform our welfare system and our immigration policy. Take away most of the welfare for able bodied slackers and students and at the same time streamline the immigration process. The immigration process should be controlled by Visas that are required for any transactions. It shouldnt take more than a month or two for qualifying visas to be acquired. Give an immigrant a probation period and if they or anyone in their family screws invalidate the visa and send them back.

Yeah it's all about racism ....pure and simple .

Gangs, drunk drivers, sexual assaults, murderers, endemic corruption......all those *******s will simply stay in Mexico .
Of course they will....who could doubt it ?

Cause we have seen zero evidence of this **** so far right ?

Strange how all these wonderful folks want to leave the paradise they created in Mexico and the rest of Central America.

Gee maybe they will do us Anglo's a favor and rebuild that utopia right here .

Or at least bring the putas. Currently it's a long damn drive to Boys Town.

None answer .

These millions want to leave their countries for a reason.....and they will inevitably re-establish those same reasons right here.

Evidence abounds .
