Durham has been to Italy 3 times.
Mifsud is not a Russian agent which is what the SC and FBI claimed.

Rogue agents in the intelligence community FABRICATED Russian Collusion to spy on Trump.

Do you have an accountability partner? How do you know you're not going all the way over the edge? Because so far you have fallen for EVERY ****ing conspiracy nutso theory anyone will sell.

Flynn hasn't been exonerated like you swore he would.

Barr hasn't found a damned thing.

Neither will Durham.

You need help.
DOJ/OIG will not be able to get into CIA/DIA, only to review the information provided by CIA/DIA used to predicate DOJ/FBI investigations.

That's why Durham was assigned the case, to follow where DOJ could not go (and prosecute any referrals from DOJ/OIG).

The issue on the intelligence side, and I'm speaking here from experience....is that the Steele Dossier was used not only to predicate FISA investgations, but also to predicate use of CIA line operational assets, to include foreign intelligence liaison services. Operational use of US citizens OR operational collection on US citizens requires one of two things: DDO (Deputy Director of Operations) approval or FISA warrant.

So the FISA warranted cleared the way for Chiefs of Stations to task their respective liaison branches to instigate collection via liason on Trump and Trump Campaign. That's where Mifsud comes in....he was/is clearly an asset of Italian liaison. he is the person who told Pappadopolous about Russia having Hillary's emails, which Pappadopolous later conveyed to Ambassador Downer (who relayed it to Australian intel, who then passed it to CIA).

In other words, Pappadopolous did not have any sourcing from anyone in the Trump campaign re Russia & Hillary's emails. He got it from Mifsud. But Downer did not note that sourcing chain. Yet when he reported it to Australian liaison, it got passed back to COS Canberra as confirmation of the Steele Dossier.

Circular reporting. Exactly like FBI using press stories based on the leaked Steele Dossier to confirm the Steele Dossier. Only worse. This was a planted piece of information used to confirm the Dossier.

THAT'S WHY Barr and Durham have been to Italy several times.

We may never get full disclosure on this. It's far down in the weeds and there are legitimate liaison equities at play. But use of intelligence liaison to to not just spy on Americans, but to set them up to be framed in a counter-intelligence investigation is something that should stomp all the trip-wires of civil liberties. Should deeply concern you, and we should share a desire to make sure such never happens.

Well said Whiterock.

It's a large case of Parallel construction, evidence laundering and fabrication.

Three hours from now, the FISA IG comes out. ZERO MEDIA COVERAGE of imminent release of first document on largest political scandal in American history because the media is complicit as well.

Even Fox News knows what's coming, they have one headline about the Report hidden down towards the bottom of their homepage, below a story about a small bear scratching it's mother's back. The headline they went with btw says in part: "DOJ Watchdog's Report Expected to Find FBI Justified in Probing Trump Campaign...".

And none of this changes anything that was discovered as well as the Trump Admin's unprecedented obstruction efforts.

It's weird to see that the President about to get impeached for politically motivated bribery and extortion of an ally at war complain about an investigation being politically motivated.

SAD.

Most of the corruption is outside of Horowitz purview. This involves the entire IC, so he's going to lay out the need and reasons why Durham is running a criminal investigation in the areas he can't touch.

Horowitz has already put in a criminal referral for Comey that the DOJ denied. He has one for McCabe that is still ongoing. All from his last IG report.

Whatever the SpyGate Plotters or Mueller thought his SC investigation was going to do, what it **ACTUALLY** did was STRIP AWAY the hoax justification for the SPYING ON TRUMP'S CAMPAIGN.

The stripping away of that hoax cover story for all of the spying on Trump's campaign...and his transition team...and then his Presidency itself....is what DIRECTLY LED to this FISA IG report we are are now waiting for to be released.

you're going to be disappointed on impeachment. It's by design a bi-partisan process, meaning you have to convince the other side. In this case, you haven't, because you can't, because A) the only direct evidence (from Ambassador Sondland) exonerates POTUS of the charge, B) there's nothing wrong with withholding aid (happens all the time) for any number of reasons, C) withholding evidence pending resolution of corruption is statutory grounds for doing so, D) the involvement of US officials in the apparent corruption is an aggravating factor, and E) the Democrats have already established precedent that obtaining derogatory information from foreign sources is acceptable campaign activity (see Dossier, Steele; and Chalupa, Alexandra).

Not interested in social contract where law exonerates you (see Clinton govt emails under subpoena) and contrives against me (see the entire Russiagate affair and now Ukrainegate).

So tired of arguing about it, too. You guys are living in a dream world if you think we are on board for this nonsense.

The initiation of the FBI investigation is not what Horowitz report this is about. That belongs to Durham.

Horowitz's mandate was to investigate FISA Abuse.

Did the FBI abuse it's powers in this regard? Did they mislead the FISA Court? Was exculpatory evidence excluded and were full and proper disclosures made?

We already know that Clinesmith altered docs used in FISA app.

Lol. We know Republicans, after years of accusing the Democrats of worshipping Obama, have completely sold out to the cult of Trump.

No way he's forced out by the Senate -despite his VERY OBVIOUS guilt.

But he will be impeached by the House because he IS guilty. And no BS investigations into Fusion GPS will change the fact that he is corrupt and got caught extorting Ukraine for political help.

From all I know right now, it is time to move on.

From NYTimes:

Report on F.B.I. Russia Inquiry Finds Serious Errors But Debunks Anti-Trump Plot
A long-awaited report by the Justice Department's inspector general delivers scathing critique of F.B.I.'s handling of wiretap application but also punctures many conspiracy theories.

WASHINGTON A long-awaited report by the Justice Department's inspector general released on Monday sharply criticized the F.B.I.'s handling of a wiretap application used in the early stages of its Russia investigation but exonerated former bureau leaders of President Trump's accusations that they engaged in a politicized conspiracy to sabotage him.
Investigators uncovered no evidence of political bias behind official actions related to the investigation, known as Crossfire Hurricane, the 434-page report said. The F.B.I. had sufficient evidence in July 2016 to lawfully open the investigation, and its use of informants to approach campaign aides followed procedures, the inspector general, Michael E. Horowitz, determined.
But Mr. Horowitz also uncovered substantial dysfunction, carelessness and serious errors in one part of the sprawling inquiry: the F.B.I.'s applications for court orders approving a wiretap targeting Carter Page, a former Trump campaign adviser with ties to Russia, under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, or FISA. He found that one low-ranking F.B.I. lawyer altered a related document and referred the lawyer for possible prosecution.
Given the highly fraught context of investigating someone linked to a presidential campaign, the report said, the Crossfire Hurricane investigators knew their work would be scrutinized yet they nevertheless "failed to meet the basic obligation to ensure that the Carter Page FISA applications were 'scrupulously accurate.'"

From WSJ:

Justice Department Watchdog Finds FBI 'Failures' but Says Russia Probe Was Justified
Inspector general also finds FBI was justified in probing whether Trump campaign coordinated with Russia

A highly anticipated report by the Justice Department inspector general concluded there were "serious performance failures" by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in obtaining surveillance warrants against a one-time Trump aide.
An executive summary of the report was reviewed by the Wall Street Journal in advance of its release. While documenting the failure in process, the report also found that the FBI was justified in opening a broad investigation into whether anyone involved in the Trump campaign coordinated or conspired with Russia.
"That so many basic and fundamental errors were made by three separate, hand-picked teams on one of the most sensitive FBI investigations that was briefed to the highest levels within the FBI, and that FBI officials expected would eventually be subjected to close scrutiny, raised significant questions regarding the FBI chain of command's management and supervision of the FISA process," the report said, referring to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.

The report also concluded that the FBI was justified in using information from a former British spy named Christopher Steele, but that the bureau should have more aggressively reassessed his reliability after it obtained information that contradicted some of his claims.

The FBI made 17 "significant inaccuracies and omissions" in the FISA applications to spy on Trump campaign member.

The FBI's deceptive manipulations made the evidence appear "stronger than was actually the case."

So why did they say it was justified?
Horowitz says the threshold for opening it was legally justified but that the threshold is far too low and his recommendations in effect would essentially make the activity criminal.

He hasn't reviewed the CIA and other intelligence agencies because he's not allowed to. This is why John Durham just sent a letter disagreeing with the statement because he has facts Horowitz does not have that say otherwise.

There is still a question out there as to what other evidence they had to open the investigation. Everyone knows there was clear bias but does that make it criminal?
