A press conference with Vic would make the press look like an old Gallagher comedy routine audience with all that spittle.

Fairly, that's just how New Yorkers talk in my experience

That's why majority of country doesn't like how Trump behaves. He's just a New Yorker

I'm reviewing the 2 prior days each new day as it seems they have a tendency to adjust a day or two later. Have updated accordingly. NY almost hit another 1,000 new deaths yesterday after originally looking improved, so I wouldn't read anything into today's lower death number until tomorrow or the next day. Texas and Georgia had small adjustments.

Yep, that was pretty chicken s h I t of Trump to do that. Typical political move trying follow what direction the political winds are blowing. Will be interesting to see if he throws Greg Abbott under the bus too. I would not be surprised.

Trump's definitely playing middle of road on praise or condemnation of governors actions

Gives critiques of democrats more credence if he's criticizing republicans along the way? IDK but time will tell

But if I was Georgia Governor I'd be cautious that Trump knew something I didn't know. I'd tread softly if I was the Georgia Governor!

So it was some of both. Georgia didn't follow the guidelines, and Trump withdrew his support after the scientists called it to his attention. Looks like the right result to me.

No - there were supposed to be phases - I II III.

I think GA went straight to phase 2 or even 3.

Let them try.

I mean if it is so dangerous to schedule an appt for a hair cut and show up at a 2/3rd emplty salon then we would have all been dead by now.

Looking forward to the full study and NYC fatalities / extrapolated case count.
Rough numbers and consider deaths in NYC could be people that lived outside NYC limits so death count numerator may be inflated against the NYC population as denminator but here goes
NYC polulation 8.4 million x 21.2% = 1,780,800 infections
Deaths 15,074 / 1,780,800 = 0.85%
Probably should not have done that because of all the caveats but could not avoid it.

Assuming the 13.1% is NY state infection rate... not sure if that is what it is but here goes
State population 19,378,102 x 13.9% = 2,693,556,
Deaths 19,551 / 2,693,556,= 0.73%

Used John Hopins #'s for death so if I lifted a bad nimber fix it below. Thanks.

Is Texas doing this, if not why not?!?!

Too kind.

One day he says its the governors' call; the next day he tweets "liberate [fill in the state with a Democratic governor].

Tuesday he tells the Ga. Governor he supports the governors' decisions, Wednesday he disagrees publicly and says he told the governor that (which would be an outright lie).

How in the world was Trump not aware of variations from guidelines when he had the phone call with Kemp on Tuesday night?

According to the CNN article he agreed with Kemp on Tuesday, was convinced otherwise by Birx on Wednesday, briefly called Kemp back to tell him privately, was rebuffed, and only then went public with the disagreement.
