Seems like anytime anyone posts anything marginally critical of Trump, the automatic response of his supporters is "TDS!".

What the hell is that supposed to mean? I think it means "Trump Derangement Syndrome", or something like that, meaning that anybody who criticizes Trump is deranged.

Come on, guys. We're all supposed to be college-educated to some degree. Is this the best you can do in the realm of political discourse? Are you not capable of reasoning? Of some original thought?

When the only response that you can come up with is "TDS!", it looks to me like a concession that you have lost the argument. And, frankly, it makes you look stupid.

Nice try
Ditto

Interesting. In your opinion what was the OPs "Nice Try" that you "Ditto"ed and how is it supported?

When I read this sentence
"Come on, guys. We're all supposed to be college-educated to some degree. Is this the best you can do in the realm of political discourse? Are you not capable of reasoning? Of some original thought?"

After reading his "reasoning" and "original thought" response of

"I'm not going to respond to the tweets or the videos, but I will respond the the thread title.
Yes, Trump really is full of *****"

To Cms186 Thread - Trump really is full of ****, isn't he?
https://sicem365.com/forums/7/topics/64579/replies/1648355

I have some reservations in believing that the presumption of "anything marginally critical of Trump" receives an "automatic response" of "TDS" is valid.
You can offer up a policy critique of Trump and be met with "TDS". Or "libtard". Or "socialist".

The "nice try" was more a response to what followed in the thread than it was to the OP.

Some people on the right have the same problem. That's kind of the point: people are people.

And the really nasty insults and malice are 98% from the Left.

Social media for the most part, but also in the entertainment industry. The whole "fake news" thing got going not so much because of Trump, but because of a blatant dishonesty in the news groups. Remember Dan Rather's "fake but accurate" excuse for selling bald-faced lies about Bush, or the 2006 film "Death of a President" which celebrated the hypothetical murder of a sitting President?

It's well-known that the major players in entertainment, whether movies or TV, are no just left-leaning but often hard left. That feeds into visceral hatred by the Left against conservatives.

We see complaints all the time about expected violence by conservatives against liberals, but the mob violence in 2016 was by leftists against Trump supporters, and the 2017 mass shooting of congressmen was a Sanders supporter targeting Republicans.

"enemy of the people"

" obviously TDS infected"

Echo chambers are a hell of a thing. They somehow manage to convince people that their view is the majority opinion while simultaneously creating this great adversarial force that's seeking to persecute/belittle them and destroy everything they stand for.

The human experiment is a failed one, and tribalism is almost exclusively to blame.

I was not being argumentative, I was asking for specifics. Do you feel that it is self-evident everywhere in the world or do you see it in one of the spaces I asked about?

Edit: I thoroughly enjoy a good argument. Just hard to come by.

Next phase will be blaming the president for mental health problems of those isolated. It will follow the same pattern.

1. President acts (travel ban, initial warning)
2. Media and Democrats will reflexively criticism and propose the opposite - get out, go to Chinatown, this is not a big deal, Trump is racist, sexist, homophobic, anti-Islamic, etc.
3. Negative consequences - big outbreaks in Democrat-controlled states / cities
4. Blame the president for doing what they demanded he do

This pattern is perfect for the next phase:
1. Blame the president for not acting faster and creating more hysteria
2. Demand the president confine everyone at home, declare marital law
3. Blame the president for confining everyone at home, declaring martial law
