Usually it's the hospitals limiting services voluntarily, not because of politicians.
No, here it's the county setting rules. I am having my surgery at First Colony in Fort Bend County for that reason. The Harris County hospitals are under the despotic rule of Lina Hidalgo.Sam Lowry said:

It's usually voluntary. There are good reasons. It was done in my area well before the government took any action or most people were even aware of it.Oldbear83 said:No, here it's the county setting rules. Gotta disagree, my wife works in healthcare and the docs have been *****ing about the county rules all year.Sam Lowry said:It's usually voluntary. There are good reasons. So does mine. She's quite familiar with the numbers that many here believe to be fake. Obviously some doctors who do elective surgeries are going to complain when the rules don't favor them. Plenty of others who deal with the covid surge have complained of supplies running out and hospitals and governments acting too slowly. The fact remains that there are rational considerations behind the limits. They free up room and personnel for emergencies, and they help conserve protective gear and other scarce equipment. The AMA encourages local hospitals to follow the guidelines of the CMS, CDC, and ACS regardless of government policy.Oldbear83 said:Gotta disagree, my wife works in healthcare and the docs have been *****ing about the county rules all year.Sam Lowry said:It's usually voluntary. Strong anecdote, but I'm going to go with the AMA on this one.Oldbear83 said:

Funny, the complaints I hear are the exact opposite, that banning voluntary procedures cuts staff and prevents fast response to codes and emergencies.

Because, all of Trump's claims of "evidence" are straight off of social media and traceable back to QAnon sourced made up and circulated allegations. The GA SOS and others have pointed that out to him, but he doesn't want to hear that. The issue is most all of the allegations, are sourced back to Q and the Q network, and Trump has bought into them. As I understand it, a lot of the "affidavits" don't exist, but are rumored to exist on the Q network. The Q numbers of followers are far more extensive than Antifa. Q just hasn't become a terrorist group yet, although some followers have become violent.Doc Holliday said:That's not true.
