You didn't just "vote for policy", you (and a lot of others) stood by and defended every step over the line, no matter how heinous. You parroted every narrative that helped Trump avoid accountability of any kind, cheered him on while he called Dems scum and investigative journalists "enemies of the people", and you continue to toe the line while he tries to steal an election that he lost.
Are you taking names for AOC's reeducation and liquidation list?

I dont know why Garland would step down from a life time appointment to be the AG for 4 -8 years. But Starr did for something less than being Attorney General.

During one of my English classes we covered the convince of fiction. After reading the above, I concluded the writer must have been in the class. The article is a perfect example of rhe convince of fiction. As are some of the liberal reply's to this post.

The AOC's of the world? Try your George Wills, Steve Schmidts, Colin Powell's etc.

The bottom line is that a restored and real DOJ look at it and determine whether there is enough to get a conviction. Mueller said he had enough for what he investigated him on. The DOJ should make its decision without regard to politics.

If he did the crime he should do the time.

Hoping he'd get nominated for SCOTUS. Would McConnell refuse to meet with him a second time?

It's not that far fetched. That's what Nixon did. It depends upon how real the threat of prosecution is by the Southern Disttrict of NY when he leaves office. Only Trump and the district prosecutor know what that risk is. That threat may be one of many reasons he is grasping at straws to stay in office.

I'm pretty sure trying to avoid prosecution is the deal to the point he is committing crimes to try to stay in office now.

I don't see Trump resigning. In fact, looks like they'll have to escort him out of the White House.

He has at least a couple of problems here.

First, to pardon is to admit guilt. In other words, you say the person is guilty but you pardon him for his crime. So Pence would be acknowledging guilt on Trump's part.

Second, a pardon by Pence would apply only to federal crimes. The State of New York is looking at Trump for tax fraud. So Pence's pardon wouldn't apply to state crimes.

Third, Trump could attempt to pardon himself. It's never been tried, but if anything Trump is a norm-breaker.

I don't think the Biden Administration will pursue prosecuting Trump because it's a bad look. However, Trump is in lots of trouble in New York.

Pardon him for what? Being Donald Trump?
Yes. Trump has always been a grifter and con man. That hasn't changed. He has good people like you deceived.

As for specific crimes, obstruction of justice while in office and tax fraud before taking office, to name just two.

Lord knows what else will be uncovered.

Yep, for being Donald Trump. For federal charges of bank fraud, money laundering, RICO act violations etc.
Silly boy, you need to fix your typos, because Trump should be replaced by Joe Biden in your statement. Did you graduate at the top of your Marx College Class. No doubt you are a 1 percenter.

You might want to follow the grand jury investigations in New York.

He has real problems in relation to tax fraud. He paid about $750,000 to Ivanka for "consulting fees" and wrote it off. This is a ploy that mobsters often use. He's going to have to document that. He has other exposures as well in relation to other write-offs.

Not likely he goes to jail. But he could get some huge fines, which may lead him into personal bankruptcy.

I don't necessarily disagree. However, he knows how vulnerable he is, and if he thinks it is too great a risk he may try a pardon method. The Justice Department has stated a president cannot pardon himself. We may get to find out. On the otherhand, his ego is so great he may be able to admit wrong doing by accepting a pardon. The risks of prosecution that he faces may be one of the reasons he is grasping so hard to remain in office. I think you're right about Biden not taking any new action, but as you say NY is another matter. The southern district of the DOJ may be far enough along that Biden can't easily call it off. I think they're going to pursue their investigation to its limits.

Haven't verified, but I have heard that NY has a mandatory minimum sentence of 3yrs for Tax Fraud.

Biden cannot call off a federal prosecution (outside of a pardon). The AG makes prosecutorial calls or actually the US Attorney for a given District does that actually. Y'all have normalized corruption in your minds because of Trump. I can assure you Biden isn't going to risk committing a crime to protect Trump of all people.

Maybe next time don't sell your entire souls to such an unrepentant criminal and you won't have to worry about such things. Especially now, with Trump spreading conspiracies and deliberately undermining the foundations of our Republic to save his own skin, the only (narrow) path to reconciliation involves accountability for Trump.

There will never be reconciliation because it still isn't about Trump. Look in your mirror. It's about you and people like you whose value systems are so antithetical to a great many Americans. What cannot be reconciled will not be.
Lets face it, God is setting it up so you MUST make a decision as where your allegiance is. My allegiance is not to Trump but only to his policies and what they have accomplished. He has a few faults as all do. But when forced to vote for a party leaning heavily to these insane ideas of a Green New Deal, reparations, anarchy, the squelching of our 1st and 2nd amendment rights the choice ought to be easy. But for most of you Trump the man is worse than AOC and the squad. I'll never understand that as long as I have a frontal lobe.

If Biden were to call anything off it would be through making his preference known to the AG. Barr has already demonstrated that he can intervene in an ongoing case.

Ok. Chapter 1 David names Solomon king. In Chapter 2 Solomon kills all of his opposition for having conspired with Adonijah to become king. Where is the connection, other than maybe Trump is conspiring to overturn an election ordained by god?
