DeSoto 2022 safety Devyn Bobby commits to Baylor after earning an offer

On Monday, Baylor landed a commitment from DeSoto (TX) High School safety Devyn Bobby‍. The 5-foot-10, 175-pound prospect is the first STAR position commit in the 2022 class.

2022 BAYLOR FOOTBALL RECRUITING CLASS

Over the past two seasons he has earned first-team all-district twice while playing safety. He has totaled 106 tackles, 19 pass breakups, seven interceptions, three fumble recoveries, and two touchdowns.

Bobby took an unofficial visit to Waco on June 16th where he completed an individual workout with the Baylor staff which went exceptionally well. After reviewing his performance the staff decided to offer this weekend.

He chose Baylor over offers from Kansas, Kansas State, SMU, Liberty, and Louisiana among others.

What an amazing run. I bet a bunch of these freshman find the field next year, especially on offense.

We may pretty much have our hay in the barn by the Fourth of July. Now sitting at 18 commitments, how many more scholarships do we have to offer for 2022?
