For any of you who didn't see Akinjo at Georgetown -- that was a throwback to those days.
I didn't like it.

I'll say it again Brown and Mayer have got to be scoring threats or the L's will start to stack up. We have good guards not elite guards
We have 3 elite guards. Name me a backcourt you would take over them.

Good lord, some of you need to take five deep breaths, count to ten, count our blessings as a basketball program, and STFU. The last time we lost a game was March 12, 2021! We were out two star players and hosted a top 20 team that was red hot after beating the no 6 team in the country! Relax! We were due a loss and hopefully they respond and take this L as a teaching moment. We are going to be fine.

Credit to Tech. I never thought I would see a team play better D than Baylor, but they did tonight.

The Bears just had far too many turnovers, the bigs were out-hustled, we couldn't get to the basket.

And, is is me or has Kendall Brown lost his confidence? He rarely shoots or drives anymore. He just immediately passes. We need his offense with Sochan on the bench.

Onward Bears. Time to start a new streak

Agreed they have to go back to the drawing board and basics. Tech just played with more heart and we do have a bullseye on our backs. Maybe now we won't play like we have to be perfect just play free.

He'll be back. We all drift into our old selves from time to time. It doesn't help when Cryer was the only other one actively trying to move to the ball though. Couple of the other guys were just standing there like statues.

Drew's coaching lost us the game? Man you're full of idiotic takes.

Cryers body language was crap all game. Flagler has to make FTs and take care of the ball. Kendall is turning into a net liability over the past 3 games. Mayer needs to learn like Davion what to do to stem huge runs by the other team by setting an example.

Time to regroup and play for the tourney. Last year's team didn't give up 19-0 runs and 2 10-0 runs in the same game

I agree. The last 2 minutes Mayer did nothing to help our cause. A senior and he begs to be benched. Pathetic!

Akinjo had 5 assists to 1 turnover tonight. Didn't shoot the ball well from three and over dribbled some, but saved our ass a few time too.

Tech played good defense and we had a hard time against their pressure.

If we knock down some FTs maybe it's a different result.

It's hard to fathom that we let a team come back from 15 down, even in the first half.

No lead is safe with this team ...up 16 at home and can't make a basket in 7 mins... will be lucky to be 2/3 games above .500 in conference.... face the truth...paper tigers ..

If Coach Drew doesn't get a plan besides Akinjo dribbling 1 on 5, then we can forget it. No inside game. The Bigs should be PO'ed. Dribble dribble then jack up a shot. How about team ball. Did the team coach themselves last year?

Yes!

Time for Drew to earn his pay.

For Baylor, all that matters is we win the last game we play.

Teachable moment now.

So your take is all our players are first round draft picks but our coach sucks?

Have you seen MM play the last 5 games. He has 28 total points in those games and is in a shooting slump. Forcing too many shots. He needs to get back into his rhythm. While the last play wasn't ideal, Akinjo has been our most clutch player. Tonight just wasn't our night.

We know Coaches Drew, Tang, etc will work in the guys to fix some of the problems. We also know that they will have a chip on their shoulder going forward, especially in Lubbock. We will learn a lot about this team by how they respond to the loss. But it's not the end of the world or even the season. It might even be a blessing in disguise as the focus now is only on winning games not a streak, breaking records, living up to media expectations, or any other unimportant nonsense. Theoretically, we could even remain #1 depending on what happens Saturday. We get the Pokes at home. (I think they will put Duke on top or another blue blood).

How many spoiled fans will give up on the team because of one loss against a very good conference opponent?

And this.

Hot take: Mark Adams is what everyone thinks Chris Beard is. His dudes play really, really hard, especially on the defensive end.

I also think we missed Sochan tonight. One of our biggest strengths is our depth and our ability to wear teams down in the second half with our energy. We didn't have that tonight.

Luckily this is March Madness and not CFP. A reality check may do more good in the long run.

21 game winning streak, last undefeated team in NCAA. You can be upset with the performance without burning down the town.

When I saw KB play the non-conference schedule, I thought that this guy would be a dominant college player as a freshman with everything that he brought to the game. I am really surprised that at this point of the season that Sochan seems to be a more complete & reliable player than KB. This was a game for KB to step up & carry this team to a hard-fought victory, but instead he seemed to not want the ball down the stretch.

Bigger problem with Sochan out is that it means more minutes on the court for Flo and more minutes on the court for Bonner, neither of which pose any offensive threat whatsoever. That allows defenders to sag off their man and double or trap Akinjo, Flagler or Cryer in the front court, taking away their normally open 3 outside shot and resulting in substantial dribbling. That's basically what we saw tonight. Sochan isn't a huge offensive threat himself, but certainly much more of one than either Flo or Bonner and a defender can't afford to sag too far off him to help trap James, Adam or LJ.

He is not a go-to offensive player who we would want to "want the ball." He is playing the Mark Vital role this year and his offensive game still needs time to develop. Our offense runs through our guards.

We got punched in the mouth tonight. We are gonna get everyone's best shot this year as we have the target on our back.

B12 is a beast of a conference. It's gonna be a fight all year. My money is on Drew to help this team continue to grow and get stronger.
