Drew doesn't get a chance to watch film and correct? Don't be so fatalistic man.

Wow... 2 last second balls drained by Bama... you have to be joking.

Akinjo has lost 4 balls in the last 2-3 min that he wasn't even being directly guarded. Man this is has been joke of a ****ing day handling the ball by the entire team.

Turnovers are 15-14. Sure doesn't feel that close

Outplayed, outhustled, outcoached and outtalented (mainly due to injuries) in this GAME. Maybe we'll see them again when we're healthy. Otherwise, learn from a LOT of mistakes in this game and get better for the next.

On to WVU.

It's because a third of ours have been on our primary ball handler

Really crap, embarrassing performance. The refs were awful as well - weren't the difference in win or a loss, but still awful.

Guard play and defense were horrendous. 87 points? Yikes…

Even if we're healthy they're a bad matchup for us that's very clear after today. Teams with quick athletic guards are going to give us fits. Their guards blew by us for 40 minutes. Just abused us from tip to finish

When was the last time we gave up 80+ points in regulation time?

I never thought I would see a team blow by Baylor over and over on the way to the rim.

Bad passing and extremely bad D. Brown got burned over and over.

Regroup and win the Big 12.

This team is NOT a next man up type of team. I disagree with Drew's decision not to play either Thamba or JTT for most of the 2nd half. I get what he was trying to do but you've got to have a rim protector in the game or they will just do what they did...flush it on the lob dunk.

I'm not as worried about this loss really. It actually may be beneficial in the long run if that is possible. Finally, we play a team as athletic as we are so there are no excuses for not matching that going forward.

I also would not be surprised if UK blows out KU today either. UK at their best is a national champion. I haven't seen a better team all year when they are connected. Problem is you gotta put 6 games in a row like that to accomplish it, but they can do it.

I have been blistered in these forums by the blinded before for trying to point out reality, and yet again with today's loss I must again in hopes that someday those blinded will start to see and accept reality.

James Akinjo will individually cost a team (this team) more losses than he will ever individually win games. There is a reason he is with his 3rd team in his college career. #JOY is nowhere in his DNA. Today's Alabama loss is another clear example. 2 of Baylor's 3 losses this season can now be clearly tagged to Akinjo. And the other, 3rd, loss could be argued to associate with him as well.

With Akinjo getting significant minutes....this is not an Elite 8 team. Set your expectations accordingly.

Let the blistering restart.......

Wish there were some positives to take away but best I can see to come out of this game, it's over.

The B12 is now going to have to sweep KU-Kentucky, TTech- Miss State, & UT- Tennessee to even make the Challenge a tie.

Yes.
He can be directly attributed to at least 15 Alabama points. Most likely 20.

How so? (and I'm not trying to argue; just trying to understand where you're coming from)

We ain't deep enough with hungry players. Nothing like last year with the bench strength. Never out of any game. This years team gets boat raced and never able to get stops and score turnover points. Tech in Lubbock and KU in Lawrence will make todays hostile Bama crowd look tame. These "one and done" nba potential players better gird up their loins.

I suspect his back is still sore. All things considered, he played decently today. But it wasn't enough with Cryer also out. We don't have the depth of last year.

Glaring lack of leadership and composure from the last two years. We have a lot of talent, but definitely missing those two elements. If we can get that together then we can be dangerous, but we are kind of a fledgling team right now.

It's definitely possible for the team to be better off in the long run. It all depends on how they respond. We saw what happened after the two losses a couple weeks ago.

Games like this are the reason they would be better off returning for another year. The NBA would be a whole lot worse than any college team day whatever face.

All things considered? For being the starting point and playing the most minutes of anyone on the team - he was terrible today. Period. Or..it was a tremendous "F" for CSD today. Which do you choose?

Akinjo needs to improve and deliver much much more. Be a team player. With him playing as much as he is....this is not even an Elite 8 team. Bank that.

Foul on the dunk, no call... turns into a fast break 3... this is ****ing laughable.

Hit him in the back before the ball

It was actually goal tending. The defender hit the rim, not the ball.
