By the end of the 2010 season, that team was better. You can argue over the two teams' complete bodies of work, but the 2010 team was the only Baylor team in modern history that was capable of winning a national title before the 2020 team that was robbed of its opportunity and the 2021 team that did.

The 2012 team, as good as it was, lost by double digits almost every time we played a team with comparable talent. By the end of the season in 2010, no one was beating that team by 10-plus points.

Both teams were really good. But 2010 was the most complete team we'd ever had until last season. That team had no obvious weaknesses, with the possible exception of its depth, and that's nitpicking. That starting five was elite, and you had a great sixth man behind them.
