Adam Flagler Withdraws from NBA Draft to Return to Baylor

Baylor junior guard Adam Flagler reportedly withdrew from the NBA Draft on Wednesday to return to Scott Drew and the Bears for the 2022-2023 season, per Jon Rothstein.

Flagler will likely take the reigns of the Baylor offense at point guard next year alongside LJ Cryer. The additions of Keyonte George from high school and Langston Love from serious injury, coupled with the growth of Dale Bonner, should give the Green and Gold the nation’s deepest backcourt.

With Flo Thamba holding down the center position and transfers Jalen Bridges and Caleb Lohner added to the wings, the Bears are certainly national title contenders yet again.

Last season Flagler averaged 13.8 points, 2.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 30.7 minutes in 31 games. He shot 43.8% from the field, 38.7% from three and 74.1% from the free-throw line.

That is awesome! Flagler should get plenty of clean looks this year with Grimes at PG and Keyonte an alpha scorer attracting so much defensive attention. If Love and Cryer are healthy we will have the best stable of guards in the country.

If you don't like rap, turn the volume down. If you dig Nas then blast it.

Very wise choice on Flagler's part. He is an intelligent young man and listened to the scouts that he needs another year of seasoning and improvement of specific skills. He was, is, and will be a much needed addition to the 22-23 Bear team. Delighted to know he will be back. Watch out Big 12!

I mean, not really. He's probably not gonna get drafted next year either, but he'll keep playing past college somewhere. Glad he's with us another year.

If the pediatrician thing doesn't work for him, I definately could see coaching once his playing days are done. Very high IQ and unselfish guy who learned from the best about building culture.

Yep. Do the Tweety thing. Make some money, then come back to Baylor.
