The Big 10 has too much money. Per Bloomberg and a host of other agencies, the Big 10 is expected to make over a billion dollars a year in its new TV deal. 

There’s a finite amount that can go to traditional expenses. Nick Saban is worth $50 million a year for Alabama, but at some point, a university is going to balk at paying its football coach $35 million a year. 

Those same cash considerations top out for other expenses.
