Week 6

Texas 24 vs Oklahoma 41 (Dallas)

The Sooners get things started on the ground as Jovantae Barnes finishes the first drive with a  touchdown and Eric Gray finishes the third drive with a touchdown as OU takes a 14-0 lead. Quinn Ewers responds with a 50-yard strike to Tarique Milton and a field goal drive to cut the lead to 14-10 at the end of the first. Javantae Barnes explodes for a 40-yard touchdown then Quinn Ewers is intercepted by Danny Stutsman. Dillon Gabriel hits Marvin Mims for another touchdown as the Sooners take a 28-10 lead at the half. Ewers finds Xavier Worthy on a 75-yard strike to get things started but OU answers with two straight field goals as they run the clock down on both drives. With the score 34-17 Quinn Ewers tries to do too much as he dancing in the backfield before he is stripped by DaShaun White. The ball is picked up by Billy Bowman and returned for a touchdown. Texas scores late but the Sooners win with ease.

Texas Tech 33 at Oklahoma State 44

The Red Raiders start the game off strong with two touchdown scores from Tahj Brooks but each score is answered by Spencer Sanders as the score is 14-14 at the end of the 1st. Tyler Shough is picked off by Kendal Daniels to start the 2nd. Dominic Richardson scores to put OSU up 21-14. Following a stop, Spencer Sanders finds Talyn Shettron for a 28-yard touchdown. Tech responds with a field goal before half as the score is 28-17. Tech hits three straight field goals as they are unable to get the ball in the endzone. Meanwhile, the Cowboys add a touchdown strike to Brennan Presley and a field goal. Cowboys are up 38-26. Spencer Sanders hits Jaden Bray for a touchdown to start the 4th and that puts the game out of reach. The Oklahoma State defense is the story of the game as they force three Red Raider turnovers and pile up eight sacks. Cowboys roll.

Kansas State 20 at Iowa State 17

This is going to be a slugfest in Ames this season as both defenses play terrific but Kansas State gets an immediate special teams impact as Malik Knowles returns the opening kick for a touchdown. Jirehl Brock ties the game at 7 with a 15-yard rushing touchdown in the 2nd quarter. Adrian Martinez breaks out for a 35-yard touchdown run before halftime to make the score 14-7. Hunter Dekkers finds Xavier Hutchinson for a 50-yard touchdown to start the half as the score is 14-14. Both teams turn the ball over twice after that. Iowa State scores zero points off those turnovers but the Wildcats turn them into two field goals. The Cyclones get a field goal to start the 4th to make it 20-17. Then the defenses take over even more as both teams have two 3-and-outs. Hunter Dekkers and the Cyclones get the ball back with three minutes left but can’t get anything going. Felix Anudkie-Uzomah gets the final sack on 4th down to close the game out.

TCU 40 at Kansas 28

Kansas continues to play good football, but in this one, the Sonny Dykes offense shows explosive capabilities that the Jayhawks can’t match. Chandler Morris totals 350 yards and three touchdowns while Kendre Miller runs for 100 yards and a score. The defense forces three turnovers as they are opportunistic despite giving up over 350 yards to the Jayhawks. The score looks closer than the game will be.
