While researching that last call I found out the nba used to set the shot clock at 24.99 so that when it read 0 it was actually a 24 second violation instead of a 23.01.
I wonder if ncaa does the same thing with shot clocks without decimals or if the refs have to go off of sound on the replay instead of the shot clock.
