Here's what Bridges brings. Making free throws at crunch time. Finally found out what

Wsu lost that more than we won it sadly.

Build on it. Better than an L

This is a team that plays down to the completion but then plays up as well.
I think this is pretty much it right now. We're capable of being a really good basketball team. But we're also capable of struggling against mediocre competition.

All that said, I'd rather have an ugly win than a pretty loss.

We defended really well on the last few possessions. They couldn't even get a shot off on their last two.

We're gonna play 8 games against teams similar to Wash St.. Oklahoma..Iowa St..Kansas State..and I'd put Tech on their level...I know the doomsayers will say this game means we'll struggle in conference...but I think a gutty win tonight will play dividends..

I do think the 2 weeks off had something to do with tonight

I wish the 2 weeks Off would hurt the other team more than ours. When wsu play last?

Gotta give him some credit too for the 2 key boards at the end and he also leading us in rebounding with 7. He undoubtedly is having issues with his shots from the floor but he did a few other things well. I hate to beat on him all the time.

8-2. Take care of Tuesday's cream puff and head to Christmas break at 9-2

George less shots, Flag and Cryer WAY more. Less and less bridges like 10 minutes a game max. And way more Josh O

This is coaching at this point. They need to press this. George outside of a given two dumb TOs a game is excellent downhill looking to pass.

We've got two great shooters he can kick too. That should be working minute 1. Also encourage Flagler to try and get to the paint. Cryer can't get off sometimes as struggles to get a step at times. Those two can set him up

Their last game was Dec. 10. Ours was Dec. 6.

They had a 3 game stretch: December 4, 7, and 10 for their previous games before tonight.

He and Flo rebounded pretty well late. I wish they were bigger factors offensively, though.

George had two or three really good possessions in a row and then reverted back to the game he had played for most of the first 30 minutes.

He's a good creator. He's not a particularly good jump shooter. We need him doing more of the former and less of the latter.

No such thing. We have things to work on certainly, but you play to win the game. When pressed in the second half, we did what we needed to to win. That's a good thing.

That's life when you're shooting 15 percent from 3.

Bridges borderline unplayable until sub 3 minutes. Then actually shows intensity on the boards and shoots clutch free throws. Just strange

Wazzou was probably playing their best ball all year & probably their toughest competition. It's no excuse for the mistakes our guys made but there is no question they are playing better than they did in Milwaukee. Defense looked very good for much of the game, especially second half.

Washington State's not a particularly good team, but they played good teams from Utah and UNLV within a combined six points. They've thrown up some stinkers, but they're capable of playing well for stretches because of the way they shoot the 3 ball.

The wild thing nearly all of them have been good looks and 50+% have been wide open.

They may be..or they may not be..my main point is you're gonna see about 8-10 of these 'muck' games in conference were the scores are gonna be in the low to mid 60s..

Ain't gonna be a lot of these free flowing shootouts in the 80s except for against Kansas and UT so just preparing this board so your head doesn't explode when we struggle against OU or Iowa State

I would suggest you guys go read Coach Drew's post game comments. I enjoy his post game analysis. Way more than many of you here.

Yes, we are not there yet. We are strong at guard. But we don't have a true PG. We are weak offensively at the post and power forward. Methinks we are much better defensively than some of you guys think. A lot of areas that must show improvement to go a ways in the post season.

Unimpressive win.
The 21 team had some pretty "unimpressive" wins when they came back from Covid. This team has had the last 2 weeks off.

In the long run...a gritty win might be better for this team than an easy win by 15-20 points.

So true. Many knowledgeable observers noted that the natty team benefitted from the loss to OSU in the Big 12 tourney. They had time to practice & get ready for NCAA tourney. I think Fran was the first to say it.
