Mississippi State transfer QB Sawyer Robertson commits to Baylor
Mississippi State transfer QB Sawyer Robertson committed to Baylor on Tuesday evening following his official visit over the weekend. The 6-foot-4, 215-pound prospect will have three years of eligibility remaining.
Robertson signed with Baylor over TCU. This quickly became a head-to-head battle between the Big 12 rivals for the priority quarterback. Ultimately, it was the Bears who came away with the blue-chip prospect.
As a three-year starter at Lubbock Coronado High School, Robertson threw for 12,256 yards and 146 touchdowns with just 23 interceptions while completing 64% of his passes. He also ran for 475 yards and 12 scores.
A four-star prospect, Robertson was a top 150 player in the nation for the 2021 class. He held offers from Arizona State, Arkansas, Louisville, Florida State, TCU, Texas, USC, and Wisconsin, among others but chose to commit to playing both football and baseball at Mississippi State.
