The current team has clearly failed to live up to expectations. But this isn’t 2011 yet. The Bears have some options still at their disposal.

The 2011 Bears remain the team we always joke to never see again. That team missed the NIT with LaceDarius Dunn, Perry Jones and Anthony Jones. While A.J. Walton would be a good rotation piece on the 2012 Elite Eight squad, he couldn’t run the point well, and nothing seemed to work for that team. 

There’s a creeping fear that the 2022-2023 Bears could be heading for doom. Some fret this squad isn’t NCAA Tournament-worthy.
