Baylor fans already knew what Rhule is about: Building students into quality men that happen to play football. Tuesday was the first time Rhule had a national mic to let the most skeptical of critics see the past is the over and it’s time to charge into the future.

Take a look at some of the reactions from some of the top influencers at the media days.

Brian Davis — Austin American-Statesman

Brian Baldinger — NFL Network

Chuck Cooperstein — 103.3 FM ESPN Radio Dallas

Berry Tramel — The Oklahoman

David Ubben — Sports on Earth

Ubben wasn’t the easiest to win over. During Rhule’s press conference, he went to Twitter questioning Rhule’s reference to being coached by Joe Paterno at Penn State.

Pat Forde — Yahoo! Sports

Forde’s endorsement of Rhule is the major takeaway for the day. He’s been one of the more outspoken critics of Baylor since news of the sexual assault scandal broke and has continued to be at least through May.

Rhule was on message throughout the entire circuit. He’s too humble to say he has all the answers but all that mattered was he sounded like he does both on and off the field.
