One and done strategy is hard if you are dependent on those players. Freshman bodies aren't necessarily ready for the grind of big 12 conference in my opinion. You see some players whose older bodies and seasoning are more used to the grind. My observation is that one and dines tend to fade generally towards the end of the season.
Middle D is a great defense. Former Bear asst. McCassland runs it well but whatever baylor played this year was not that defense. After losing Tang and MCCassland, we need an asst who can focus on defense. I watched game after game with no one getting back and stopping the dribble. I saw so few actually wanting to take a charge. There was poor defensive technique and rotation as well.
Baylor has to significantly improve in this area to remain a top program in the future.
