Does the Transfer Portal Make High School Recruiting More Important

Last season Kansas landed a star-studded recruiting class. The Jayhawks picked up three McDonald’s All-Americans and added another top-50 player. Gradey Dick declared for the NBA Draft, which left three ready to play another season at Kansas. 

Then the Jayhawks elected to bring in Hunter Dickinson, and KU’s two big men — Ernest Udeh and Zuby Ejiofor — decided to transfer.
