Postgame Presser: Scott Drew, Mack Rhoades & Players on Win Over Iowa State

Can someone explain I was on 35 and following the game on my yahoo app. (Not the best thing to do while driving) I swear it said ISU hit a 3 and won 71-70 in the last 2 seconds. I put the phone down and I've been pissed since until just now and seeing this thread title. I checked the app again and sure enough it said we won 70-68. What happened? The app is usually pretty accurate.

Iowa State hit the shot, but a review showed he still had the ball when the clock hit 0. Shot didn't count. It was the right call.

He didn't get the shot off in time and it was waived off on review.

Then the refs decided to do a second review for if the clock started on time (which made no sense). Eventually they decided it did start correctly and the game ended 70-68.

This of course was all following the refs ruling the clock didn't start right on the missed free throw and stopped the clock after ISU had significantly advanced the ball. So they had a favorable inbounds.

What a pleasant surprise for you!!

As I posted in game thread .it was a combination Moody Madness with the Mavs...and then it turned into USA vs Russia gold medal game in 72 Olympics when they kept putting time on clock for Russia to win...

It was the craziest Baylor ending I've seen.

For the Russian situation it wasn't even so much a case of putting time back on. They gave them I think, 2 do-overs on an inbounds to the goal until they finally made the shot.
