Positives
- Another win against a top 25 team and the Baylor Bears are in first place at 6-3 at the turn.
- RayJ Dennis played a great overall game. 21 points on 9 shots, 5 assists and 4 steals.
- Loved the efficiency from Yves Missi on the offensive end. Yves with 17 points and 7 rebounds and a spectacular 7-8 from the foul line. His form looked great.
- Jayden Nunn was in attack mode on both ends. I thought he gave us great effort. 14 points and some tough defensive rebounds.
- We finished the first half well, getting better on end of half plays.
- A tie game at 51, the Bears went on a 13 point run. You would have loved to see the Bears make it uninteresting down the stretch. They need to finish games better, but great to see them get the win without much drama.
Concerns
- Langston Love’s ankle or knee. Hated seeing him leave the game late with what appeared to be a high ankle sprain.
- Ja’Kobe Walter’s slump. In conference play, Ja’Kobe is shooting 37% from inside the arc and 24% from outside the arc. Hopefully the second half of conference play will be kinder to Walter.
- Moving screens. We seemed to get called for a lot of moving screens each game.
