This game mattered for a host of reasons. First, it showed Baylor could beat a good team playing closer to B- basketball. There were good moments, but I didn’t feel like Baylor played close to its best basketball tonight. That’s a big win.

With Missi’s ascendancy and the Bears’ winning streak, Baylor now sits second in the Big 12. They are just a half-game behind No. 5 Houston (20-3, 7-3).
