WACO, Texas — The No. 13 Baylor Men’s Basketball team (17-5, 6-3) rode a 13-0 second-half run to a third-straight Big 12 win, this time over Grant McCasland’s No. 23 Texas Tech Red Raiders (16-6, 5-4) by a score of 79-73.

RayJ Dennis, Yves Missi and Jayden Nunn were a three-headed monster on offense for the Bears, scoring 21, 17 and 14 respectively. Dennis added five assists and Missi grabbed seven boards as well.

The Green and Gold fought hard on the boards to win the rebounding battle all night and came away with 36 points in the paint.

This was especially important with the Bears only hitting 5-of-18 three-point shots.

The Baylor defense also showed out a good bit today, forcing some tough shots and generating nine steals.

Back to the other end of the court, Yves Missi’s offensive day was particularly notable for its efficiency.

The freshman center went 5-for-7 from the field with a few monster dunks. However, after the game Scott Drew focused on Missi’s 7-for-8 performance from the free throw line saying it showed his work ethic and dedication.

With Missi’s ascendancy and the Bears’ winning streak, Baylor now sits second in the Big 12. They are just a half-game behind No. 5 Houston (20-3, 7-3).

Before they can look at topping the Cougars, the Bears will travel to Lawrence, Kansas to face off with the No. 4 Jayhawks on Saturday. That game tips off at 5 PM CT on ESPN.
