I don't celebrate moral victories. I also acknowledged this was 1 hell of a comeback. And it was. But we still took an L today.

If you wanna get nitpicky on what cost the game..it wasn't one.free.throw..it was.Missi air ball dunk attempt and then basket interference.


And even if he hits free throw
Knowing us there's a good chance Shead still hits a buzzer beater because a made free throws they can call time out and set up a play.

Not trying to normalize a loss but I'm really proud of the fight today. That's arguably the best team in D1 today and to take them to OT after being down 16, great effort. If we play that well the rest of the season there's nothing we can't do.

As I said in my original post before this game, I thought it was a bad matchup for us and we would have trouble with the pressure D because it is the toxin for a team that is turnover prone like us. Sure enough, that's basically how the first half played out.

I'm not much for moral losses, but I have to say that I was actually excited by the fight, intensity and overall play in the 2nd half. Drew has always been successful at halftime adjustments and whatever he did it was certainly a different looking team in the second half. This team never quits, but it also doesn't play at the same physicality it played at today. I honestly didn't even know if they had it in them. But, it is apparent they do. Now we just need to continue working on eliminating some of the careless turnovers and add this physicality component in every game and we'll be set to move forward.

Dennis also missed (goaltend? Didn't see) a point blank layup in regulation. The travel was a slight push but have to be stronger than that. Should have continued to hunt Cryer.

We're going to be OK. Big 12 is a tough league. The Big 12 Tourney won't be any easier. As for The Dance, we will make some noise. There is always a Cinderella team come March. Personally, I feel we can definitely be that team. If push comes to shove we are definitely an Elite 8 quality team.

Of Mossi had made it I think better than 50/50 that Houston makes a layup or shoots 2 free throws

Would have liked to get to see what happened

Not continuing to get fouls on their key guys late also really hurt us. And missing love. And missing dunks and layups. And turnovers

For me, the bottom line is this: if Ja'Kobe is out of his shooting slump and plays like that the rest of the way, we're a Sweet 16 team, at minimum. After that, who knows what can happen. Get the right matchups and we could be playing in the third weekend.

They had no answer for Bridges spreading them out. Our length at guard also let us shoot over them.

I really don't think it's that bad a matchup outside of our young unseasoned bigs. Missing Love hurt the last push.

Agree with 3rd weekend and with Walter. In addition to Walter, if Bridges plays like this every time, we are a completely different team. I have thought all year that Bridges is our "X" factor....I've always been probably higher on Bridges than anyone on these boards, because I believe he is our most complete player on both ends. He has NBA talent but for whatever reason though, he tends to drift and play passive on both ends for long periods. When he is aggressive and dialed in on both ends like he was today, we are a legit elite 8 caliber of team. Especially if Love will be out for the duration of the season, we need Bridges to play more aggressive offensively.

Add Love to that second-half Baylor team and we can do some damage in March.

Beautiful Saturday,, spring is in the air ,, biggest game of the year , # 2 cougars at our place and before I can sit down for my brunch and small libation , we're down 17 … laying eggs and not even Easter ,,,.. and we even got to sleep in our own beds ,,1-4 still in play ?

Great second half after a terrible first half. The Bears almost pulled off their best win of the season but could not finish. It was very close, however, and we have reason to hope for a strong finish. Houston & BYU ard the hardest teams on our late schedule so we definitely have hope.

Meanwhile, the Lady Bears are playing an amazing second half in Morgantown. Down by 3 at halftime, they now have a 12 point lead early in Q4.

Honestly, was proud of the effort and, although hoping for a win, the outcome was about what I expected (although anticipated a closer game throughout, not a huge comeback).

It just kills me we lose so much experience from this game and this season and have to start over again next season. These are kind of games that season a team

When I watch this team I see it lives and dies by the 3. But it's potential is absolutely sweet 16 and elite 8. It turns the ball over alot and gives up alot of points but it can hang with the big boys.
