We are seeing more and more signs of the outside shot coming back too. Look out if that starts clicking again.
Exactly. Been watching him since high school. He has many flaws to his game (especially defensively) but the effort and the motor never wane. And now his 3 ball is starting to drop.

You kind of just described this entire team. There a lot of things about it that frustrate me at times, but it always competes. And even when it's not playing particularly well, it usually does enough to stay in games or to fight its way back into them.

Would have preferred we not end the game on a 3 + minute scoring drought with turnovers, missed shots/FT, and fouls, but winning at TCU is tough. Really nice win.

Great win. I leaned close loss in this one but didn't touch it. Glad to have been wrong. We needed it. We've been letting tcu hang with it beat us too much in the sports that matter. Need to keep 'em in their place

My nit pick was down the stretch we still let them kinda hang around and got stuck in about 62 points forever and just ran out the clock. Wish we could avoid that but at least we got the W

The only issue I have with the end of game is several times we broke the press (great) but then someone would take a shot without burning any time. I get that the D is very spaced out because of the press, but the seconds are more important than the points at that point of the game. Walter did this at least three times and I don't think he made a shot.

Correct, and I think this was important to the win.

By halftime, both teams were gassed and taking shots that were as bad as I would make. Both staffs had to know that by the end of the game tanks would be at empty.

So what to do? I have the idea in my head that TCU knew the first half had been back and forth, so they expected something like that, even though Baylor briefly held a 5 point lead at 21-16. I think the coaches planned to stay within striking distance then make a big push at the end to either protect a lead or take it.

Drew, on the other hand, had his players go all out early which led to the 19-2 run, but he knew at game end we would not be able to maintain tempo. Making every possession last as long as possible not only ate clock, but conserved energy just in case they needed it at the very end.

Drew read the situation better than TCU's coaches did.
That which does not kill me, will try again and get nastier
