Before the 4th of July, and with football generating some buzz, I figured we’d get some new predictions out there for hoops. 

1) VJ Edgecombe is Baylor’s leading scorer

I thought before Edgecombe’s recent play that Norchard Omier would be the leading scorer. I’m switching my pick. 

Edgecombe had 20 points for the Bahamas against Finland. He outscored Eric Gordon and Deandre Ayton. Only Buddy Hield had more points for the national team.

VJ will be amazing to watch. I'm excited.

I have not broken down tape so maybe I'm wrong but my eyeball test I think Love is as good or better defender. He is bigger and stronger and depending on the opposition better against more physical opponents.

My two cents, offensively and passing Love has the edge. Defense a wash depending on match up. Splitting hairs as both are good players and should get heavy minutes but Love should start IMO.

Love is an absolutely awful defender due to very poor lateral agility, and could be even worse next year coming off yet another leg injury. That said, Love should continue to thrive as a 6th man due to his ability to score. Fingers crossed he returns healthy and stays healthy.
