Can Baylor Achieve A Massive Year-Over-Year Improvement?

Baylor must massively improve in 2024 to get back to 7+ win territory. 

For a team to go from terrible to good, they need to improve massively somewhere, whether it’s mostly on one side of the ball — like Baylor’s offense from 2020 to 2021— or just getting decently better on both offense and defense. 

I’ve mentioned in previous articles how Baylor needs to improve by 15-20 points per game if they want to safely make a bowl game.

Can we? Absolutely. It happens in our conference all the time, as we saw in 2019 and 2021.

Will we? That's the million dollar question.

Who is the coach? Who is responsible for recruiting? Ultimately, who has the final say on game day which position player is on the field?
Will a better player find himself sidelined for a nicer person? Will the 3rd best depth player take more snaps than the best?

Our team is as good as nearly any other team in the conference. Each and every player on the expanded roster is a division 1 football player.

So sure,

Stand a better chance if CDA stays out of the way and has no input in game time decisions.

Additionally, going from 3 to 6 wins is 100% improvement, but still dog#&*@ for this conference. We should be a top 4 program every year.

Hang onto Gerry Bohanan after 2021 and likely a repeat in 2022. Instead CDA and his worthless OC kindly showed GB the door. We've sucked ever since. Gracias Amigo!
