The Utah we played from 2nd qtr on wasn't that good.
They were good enough to dominate Oklahoma State in Stillwater today.

People have this year's Baylor team all wrong.

We're not terrible this year -- as we were a year ago. We're actually talented enough to compete quite well in this Big 12 conference. But our coaching will ensure that this team is just good enough to break our hearts over and over again.

We're not going to get blown out much this year. We're going to hang around for four quarters and find heartbreaking -- but predictable -- ways to lose.

I don't disagree, we have a reasonable chance to win a few more. And Utah is a good team.
I do disagree tho that the Utah we played was not very good, the 2nd string QB was not good most of the game. He's had time since then to gel.

The problem is they already have the money from season tickets sold so they won't really care if those people don't show up because the money is already in the account.

BU did what they couldn't do, let Shadeur turn the game into a Tampa Bay Youth Football game that allows school yard football. That is what they do, that is FL football these days. They did good 1st half, then the broken plays.

I am not sure this Staff can win. Nice guy, classy guy. But his highest and best use may be DC at a top program or in the pros. He seems to cerebral for this level. You could feel the game slip away with no answers.

Special teams were good.

I think you may be right, that is where the Baylor's of the world will need to go. A HC that has shown they can win with limited resources. No more DC's or OC's etc.. Baylor won't get a big name or someone with G5 or P5 trackrecord, at least one that will stay.

Aranda overthinks and can't seem to finish. Either we start too bad to overcome or we can't hold on. Convinced after last night, he needs to go. If we don't make a bowl he should be gone as soon as we are not bowl eligible.

4 win ceiling. Will actually consider that a good result, we don't play another Colorado this season. 4 wins is a 33% improvement and will absolutely secure Aranda in Mack's view.

I don't entirely agree. I don't think Aranda was gonna survive with even 7 wins this year. Firing him last year would have cost the big payout. I think the conference championship got him one more year to blow the doors off with 8 or more wins. I'm pretty sure the AD's office has updated profiles of every up and coming coach in the country because blowing the doors off was such an outside chance. But we will never know if this 7 game theory was right because as hard as these guys can fight this year they won't see more than 4-5 wins. My upside is a little higher than yours.
