Why would you do that? The program's not the problem. The coach is.

Fire his ass and go find one who's not a total loser.

Look back at its history. Teaff was BARELY over 500. The only real successful coach was killed off in shame. I'll guaran-damn-tee you an SEC school wouldn't have let that happen. Baylor's leadership doesn't have the ability to hire a true successful coach.

In some thread someone mentioned piss poor attendance at the homecoming game against Oklahoma State would get admin attention.

We are about to find out because they will be lucky to fill that thing half way.

But the line at Viteks for my pregame meal will be short.

That's because we have never been an institution of football. With what Teaff had to work with he turned water into wine. We caught lightning in a bottle with CAB and the admin fd it up. We got lucky with Rhule and he was never going to stick around. Dave won on his coat tails. Now we clearly see he can't coach. The saving grace this year is that we have taken NIL seriously and we are willing to pay for coaches.

If at this point, someone told me that if we keep Dave, Baylor would be guaranteed a national championship at some point in the next 20 years, I'd still pass.

That would mean somewhere in the next 20 years we've been dropped to D3

BUATX2000 did not specifically say a D1 championship.

Should have been fired after Air Force but even if someone wants to make a tragically stupid statement that Air Force was good, that's air quotes around "good for a service academy".
Worst case
Should have been shown the door after Texas State.
EDIT: Sorry, misread.

I thought you were talking about this year's Air Force game. Haha.

Oh I wanted him gone at the end of last year. It is unfortunate for us as we will continue to suffer until he is gone

Our last three coaches have played for or won a conference championship -- and one of those was/is an incompetent clown.

Since we committed resources to competing at a P5 level, our program has been good, albeit inconsistent.

Don't make Dave's incompetence a referendum on our program. Briles and Rhule both showed a good coach can do in Waco.

Will y'all stop with this stupid narrative

.He has to win 7 minimum to return.

Do you really think Baylor will fire him if he gets to six wins and a bowl game?
Theres no way this team is getting 6 wins

Nope. I don't see us winning any more games. Houston maybe, but Houston has far better coaches than we do.
frogs are horrible but will kick our a$$$..
Tcu and Houston are not good football teams, but Dave has nearly no shot. Tcu is close to quitting and showed weak effort yesterday but has decent players. Houston barely has an ounce of talent but plays hard and is very well coached.

I think Willie will have UH winning atleast 6 if he is given 4 years
If Willie is given 4 years, he will win more than 6.

That's good, because the entire stadium may be one giant tarp for the rest of the year.

Well that's not gonna happen.

What you mentioned reminds me of something Clyde Drexler of the Houston Rockets told a reporter many years ago during one of the Rockets long playoff runs.

"Hey Clyde, what do you guys need to do to come out on top?"

"We need to score more points."

Regardless of Tevin's injury , these things are not mutually exclusive. One can eat cheerios and pick his nose at the same time, and a player can suffer an injury at the same time that his team quits. And from what I saw at the beginning of the 4th quarter, the team finally did quit.

That is something BU fan forgets. There has enough players at P5 level to win. BU does not have enough and we do not have any Travis Hunter/RG3 level to compensate.

Two areas I look at are O-line penalties and DB penalties. Holding/False Starts on O-line and d-holding/pass inference on DBs. Why do players do those things? Most say coaching. But the core reason is they are physically mismatched and they have to or get beat. You can compensate with zone blocking or zone coverages. Maybe move a DB to S or a OT to OG. But bottomline the talent mismatch will get you at this level. No amount of coaching is turning a G5 or Ivy lineman into an NFL quality linemen. That is what I see. A sprinkling of talent among a bunch of good kid Ivy/G5 types.

Problem is deeper than Aranda, started with Briles scandal and bandaids ever since. Rhule caught lightning and cashed as soon as possible, he knew. Aranda has one magic season before rules changed. BU isn't transfer portaling out of this. This has to be built with HS recruits. Anyone in portal is there for a reason, it didn't work somewhere else, grass is greener, I am too good for this school... Create a team from malcontents and you will have a team that will quit. I like the idea of the Tx St guy, a local with HC experience, that knows the TX core HSs BU needs. Someone that can grow with BU fans, gonna be lean years at first. Just one persons view.
