It didn't hurt us… But I don't understand running up the middle there rather than taking a knee.

More bad than good could happen in that situation.

our defensive coordinator, powledge, was the safeties coach earlier at baylor and did special teams too. tell me about bad hired compounding into bad players and plays.

We are making some plays on offense and defense but that $#!+ special teams play and the penalty after scoring a TD to give them field position are just more self-inflicted wounds.

Just checked in and our safeties are still the worst in the country. Such poor instincts and horribly coached technique. Crazy when you think you can recruit even underfollowed guys in Tx and develop a really strong secondary.

Optics. Dave having to get rid of both coordinators in one season was just too much I guess. Good interception to end the half though

best first half of football we have seen...feeling pretty good since we are a 2nd half team.

special teams need to get with the program or some schollies should be yanked.

Yep… That unsportsmanlike was a total unforced error. Does anyone know exactly what Trigg did? Is it because he did a shooting motion?

If by "team" he means the coach that designed the alignment and punt blocking scheme that allowed not 1 but 2 defenders to reach the punter then yeah.

We are playing better than I expected… But the first half of the Colorado game is probably our best first half of the year against a P4. We were leading 24-17.

Bring Patterson back and let him work solely with the secondary.. mostly safeties. It will look better within a week or two. Their secondary was always in position and quick to the ball.

Not sure but I guess it was the pump shotgun racking & shooting action. I agree with the commentator that it was a weak call but still he should not have done it.
