We saw it today with the grounding penalty early.

I'm not sure why you're so vigorously defending a pocket passer with a career 132.6 passer rating.
I'm not defending him, I'm letting you know your take on this is bad. He may indeed be a terrible career QB, but I don't care about his career. This is a game thread, not a career thread.

What I'm seeing in this game, at the time of this post is 25/33 for 333 yards and 1TD. He's moved away from pressure and thrown it out of bounds. He's kept his team in the game. You interpret that as panicking, poor pocket awareness and so forth and I think that is nonsense.

If Dave gets to 6 and is retained, they need to bring in a ton of high level safeties and now even cb's. Just terrible awareness and feel for the game. Stiff, no fluidity in movement. Need complete overhaul

He played poorly and got beat out.

No. And we shouldn't stop. He is getting paid to play - that comes with the ups and downs and all the criticism and praise....He gets demoted and now is "injured". Failure on the Coaches and the Administration to tie so much NIL to a player who wasn't worthy at all... Those funds could have been used to shore up other gaps..

My concern is that he gets just enough wins to be retained and we have to suffer through another year of inconsistent mediocrity.
