Taking a step back on Spavital. He doesn't seem to have any answers if Washington isn't consistently breaking off 5-10 yard runs. Any coordinator will look awesome with that safety blanket. calls multiple dumb pass plays in a row, runs the ball at dumb times ie on 2nd and 13 etc.

Houston is the best defense we've played since ISU. We absolutely feasted on horrible defenses. I'm not taking anything away from our recent success on O. But context is key

Kansas defense isn't as good as Houston's is. That one will likely be a shootout.

Houston has a good defensive front and plays at a snail's pace on offense, so you get low-possession games.

Unfortunately, we've been playing right into their hands with our offensive play-calling this half.
