We are going to have great difficulty if none of our three injured players are able to play in Lubbock.

Lubbock is always a greatly difficult place to play even in the best of situations.

We are getting run off the floor tonight.

Yup, this is why I prefer they sit VJ. Different story if it's at say TCU (very winnable road game)
Sit him until Saturday. The extra rest in this rare case is more important. Would also be great if Love and Roach decided they want to play basketball tonight. Could use the extra bodies

I also fear that this Bball version of the BUTT bowl will not go well.

Agreed. CSD won't say it out loud, but just punt this game and get VJ healthy.

I'm not optimistic about this one. We just don't have enough healthy (or available) bodies to beat Tech on the road right now. I just hope we play hard and well and make it a competitive ballgame.

I won't judge the team harshly tonight, though. We're going into this one with a hand tied behind our back.

Anybody with knowledge know if Roach is playing? I am assuming no Love for the foreseeable future? Man, what a weird situation. I never thought he would be a guy that would not want to get out on the court. If anything he needs to showcase where he is so he can get some money from someone. Not sure anybody would be willing to give him significant NIL without seeing some stats from this year.

I would be pretty surprised if we lose by less than 12 tonight. Tech might be playing better than anyone in the Big 12. Hoping Grant will be coming home after Drew departs. He is a gamer!

I know it sounds crazy because we're likely playing with at least 3 short tonight and playing at a difficult road site, but I think we are gonna show and make this a close game, if not win. I think we gained some confidence with that comeback and we will be mentally prepared tonight. But we obviously have to stay out of foul trouble with absolutely nothing left on the bench.

They usually win in Lubbock when someone goes off. I think George won us the game at Tech a few years back and the 21' team had a few guys (Teague game was at home).

Without a healthy VJ we don't have that guy. They are going to be really physical with Wright. They'll be gassed with limited players (assuming Roach is still out)
