
Houston Christian Transfer Cornerback KJ Makins Commits to Baylor

Houston Christian cornerback KJ Makins has committed to Baylor following his official visit last Wednesday. He joins Ohio State transfer Calvin Simpson-Hunt and Tennessee Tech transfer Caldra Williford as the third cornerback addition this offseason under new cornerbacks coach Paul Gonzales.
The 5-foot-11, 180-pound prospect posted 12 tackles, a forced fumble and four pass breakups this past season with the Huskies.
Makins posted an overall defensive grade of 70.8, a run defense grade of 78.2 and a coverage grade of 69.6 last year, per Pro Football Focus.
Prior to his time at Houston Christian, he spent two seasons at Lenoir-Rhyne University. He has one year of eligibility remaining.
