Welcome to the 2025 preseason edition of the SicEm365 Premium “Big 12 Power Poll.” Over the last few days, the awesome members of our Premium Forums had access to a simple form to rank the football teams of the Big 12 however they saw fit heading into this season.

I’m proud to say, only one premium member ranked the teams in what appears to be reverse order. So here are the raw results:

Maybe this site is simply full of sunshine pumpers! Anyway, I removed the top 5% and bottom 5% of placements for each team just to make sure no single response skewed the data too much.

The only change was the tie between TCU and Utah being broken in favor of the Utes. A “shocking” result given that this site is home to Baylor fans, people typically filled with a lot of “brotherly love” for the Frogs.

If you’re someone who likes to dabble in simple statistics, I also pulled the min, max and mode for each team. That is the top rank, the bottom rank and the most common ranking. I did not remove the top 5% and bottom 5% of placements for best, worst and most common here (but I did for the average rank, so sorry for any confusion).

So six teams earned at least one first-place vote from premium members. Those teams are Arizona, Arizona State, Baylor, Kansas, Kansas State and TCU. The one member who appears to have done reverse order is how Kansas received a first-place vote. Another member appears to have mixed up Arizona and Arizona State while having an otherwise “normal” poll. TCU received a single first-place vote.

The top three were a clear tier of their own in average rank, trimmed average rank, and first-place votes. Kansas State earned nine first-place votes while the Bears were marked first 30 times. The Sun Devils took home the most first-place votes with 33 and were just 0.058 behind Baylor in trimmed average rank (the one with 5% of outliers tossed from the top and the bottom).

With all of those numbers, charts and graphs provided to you, where do you draw the lines for tiers in the Big 12? Which teams are the premium members underestimating or overestimating?

Let us know in the comments, and for you premium members, look out for the next Big 12 Power Poll on Sunday, Aug. 24, after the week zero games for Iowa State, Kansas State and Kansas!
