Okay, yes lets pick out the crappiest teams at the bottom. Make my point exactly. We would compete with their bottom.
How exciting

I don't know what to tell you. 4-5 of the top 12 teams in the country are in the sec every year and this is likely one of them if they are willing to run Arnold 20 times every game. We could have done that with sawyer and possibly won too.

Is it too soon to discuss Baylor's fashion ensemble for SMU. We gonna git'em!

Opponent commits a penalty. BU responds in kind. Team rules, you know.

We could still be a top 20-25 team and lose to this team like this. All is not lost.

One thing that looks clear is nobody may be able to stop Trigg and Cameron this year. So there's that.

Sawyer has 400 yards and we are down by 14....

I'd agree. I see us as a borderline top 25 team. But not top 15.

We've shown enough life tonight I'm not going to yell too much about Aranda. He is what he is. Our team didn't lie down. It is not great we are a 500 program but we have some talent.

Good post. However, I'm taking the over on 7.5 wins.

And yet rarely does a Big 12 team ever have a team in that category.
Our top teams equal middle of pack sec.
My point exactly

You're pumping the usual sunshine, but what happened to all of Dave Aranda's new wrinkles that he was going to put in his defense?

What happened to him being widely considered one of the top coaches in the country like what you claimed in the other thread?

Dave Aranda brings absolutely nothing to the table as head coach of Baylor. He's not a guru of defense, he's not a force multiplier in anyway, shape, or form, he's not creative, he's not a hype guy, he's an aight recruiter but nothing special (and it's money that recruits now anyways). The sooner we move on from him the better, and we should've done it in 2023

If that were the case Sawyer wouldn't make it to the end of game without being hurt. SEC athletes would be too much. Arnold, physically, is a different athlete.

Need to change the D play caller. Obviously we got outplayed in the line but why not at some point sell out to stop the qb run. Geez. That adjustment should have been made in Q2.

You're responding to the dude that genuinely believes that the national media considers Dave Aranda one of the top coaches in the country.

The other thing benefiting auburn was that they play high school teams the next two weeks. If Arnold got knocked up a bit they don't need him for nearly a month.

Don't think I'll watch the presser. The game said it all.

I'm not too discouraged, honestly.

Getting whipped on the lines sucks, but they recruit a lot better linemen than we do. That part is what it is.

But we moved the ball well pretty much all night without a run game that will wake up once we start playing Big 12 fronts.

This team will be successful in Big 12 play. Need to play well next week in Dallas to avoid an 0-2 start, though.

And Wilson had 134 yards and Hawkins 70...all against an SEC team. Our WR room is stacked.

This encapsulates my thoughts perfectly.

I'm disappointed with the loss, but I'm not dejected.

You might be right. Tough call really. 7 maybe 8. I guess that's why the line is 7.5.

Auburn controlled both offensive and defensive lines. Ball control, and crushed the running game. We PASSED the ball… period.

Outmatched in the trenches but the elements are there for us to be in the race for the Big 12 championship. Learn from this and move on.

Me too. We showed life. Looks like a 7 or 8 win team. Definitely not top 25 but probably top 35.

Baylor and Aranda will find a way to screw the conference up as well.
