WACO – Baylor (1-1) returns home to face off against the Samford Bulldogs (0-2). Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. CT on Saturday, Sept. 13, at McLane Stadium in Waco, Texas, and the game will be streamed on ESPN+.

Hey friend. Not trying to be arguable cause I like your posts. I'm just a football fan who loves big games. Like ASU coming up. I am guilty as charged. Overall Big 12 is unappealing to me. We would do terrible in the two big boy conferences

Well just about everyone in the B2 does terrible in those conferences except their elites. Not sure if that makes you feel better and I am actually trying now. I like your posts as well.

Tennessee coaching staff let that kid down.

They were setting up like it was a gimme inside the 10.

Instead it was nearly a 40-yarder BEFORE the false start.

Then in OT, the play calling reminded me of last week's game, where we were determined to run it up the gut and fail, resulting in 3rd and long.

Thankfully, we had a reliable passing attack to bail us out.

Tennessee didn't.

Watched a little here and there. They didn't look good. Guess we're stuck Dave's low energy and low/inconsistent effort performances. Really bad look.

The only time they give great effort is in desperate comback scenarios down 14+. It's ridiculous

I understand the argument that we need the live game experience or maybe that guys want to get their stats, but it really feels like we missed a great opportunity to only have the starters play the first half and then go into next week super well rested. You don't want to see your starting running back limping against Samford

My ten things, if I can think if ten things:

Didn't get to watch it while on the road.

Which means I didn't have to watch this one, maybe a good thing.

Listening to the first half on the radio was a challenge.

From what I could hear, didn't sound like Baylor was really in control like you would expect.

I'm not shocked that it was a sloppy game. It happens some times after two big games, kind of a trap deal.

I was still surprised to find Baylor starters deep in the game.

Backups might have been better closers, having a surge of energy from the PT, but who knows.

Do extra reps against a team like this really be that beneficial? Not sure. Not saying either way.

How did the backup qb look? Didn't get to see or hear any of that.

Is that ten yet?

On the flip side Texas didn't look good, either, against a team over which they were heavily favored.

Arch was not good, but there wasn't much else good going on. Maybe the same type syndrome against a team that just aren't fired up to play. But they did mot dominate the LOS as they should.

It's hard to really tell what kind of team either is yet. I think a lot of that is just the way college football go in this age.

Good question. I think they were trying to give themselves more cushion. It backfired. Maybe a bit cocky too.
