The steel 101 yard fumble return is maybe the worst play in modern college football history. I honestly can't think of a close second. Maybe the hail Mary we gave up against Colorado last year followed by the fumble going into the end zone in OT. That comedy of errors was two plays.

Believe it or not it has happened 2 other times in recent history to that. Against USC in 86 and against Tech in 91 I believe it was. Each time was in Waco.

That USC was so painful. Still soaked from the thunderstorm

Last year I watched one of the big college games at a friend's house. Somebody decided they couldn't wait for the producers to show a replay and backed it up to watch it. But then near the end one team was driving late in the game it just stopped. They never put the game back in real time, so the feed ended when the game was supposed to end, because the had it on record. By the time we got the real time feed back on it was over, and we missed some dramatic double comeback overtime finish surprise ending.

This is why I almost always watch games alone, unless I really don't give a crud,

When rewinding a game to rewatch a play, the key is to fast forward at the next opportunity. That's easy to do because there will always be lots of commercials. I do this all the time.
