Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth. It's just that the good coaches get punched in the mouth and then start looking better that round. Dave gets punched in the mouth, and it takes him two or three rounds to think about strategy and make sure the vibe is right before change can happen

Good Coaches throw the first punch and don't stop swinging.

This game reminds me of TCU in 2021. We played them days after they fired Gary Patterson. Lots of emotion. This one can end can differently, though.

The difference is that that 2021 TCU team had a lot of talent on it. This Oklahoma State team is a mid-G5 level team in terms of talent

If I remember correctly, he was asked about it in the last press conference and got a little uncomfortable. I think that there is a lingering injury of some kind, or else his agent is telling him to keep himself healthy for the combine. But I really think it's the former

Sawyer is a leader. He isn't going to listen to his agent about not running. He may have a lingering injury though or the coaches are worried about him getting injury and have drilled not running into his head

His supporters will get excited over a win like this and next week over K st. But we can't beat the best in a conference that lacks Texas and 0U or a bowl game against the type of team we used to regularly beat.

He's going to be good, but like a young Trestan Ebner he's still trying to play high school ball in the Big 12.

He needs to learn quickly what he can and cannot get away with at this level.

I agree with you but the adminstration does not. Next best thing to not waste this offense is to bring in a real DC and tell Dave to sit down.
