The SicEm365 Staff gives their predictions for Baylor’s (5-6, 3-5) Senior Day matchup against Houston (8-3, 5-3). Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. CT on Saturday, Nov. 29, at McLane Stadium in Waco, Texas. The game will be nationally televised on TNT.

  • Spread: Baylor (-2.5)
  • O/U: 58.5
  • Moneyline: Baylor (-130), Houston (+110)

Colt Barber (8-3) — Baylor 35, Houston 34

Here I am setting myself up for disappointment, but I just have a feeling this group of seniors figures out how to get it done. I have no reason as to why it happens other than the offense goes out and scores some points, and the defense makes a play or two at the end.

Ashley Hodge (6-5) — Houston 35, Baylor 24

I've been to every game this year in person. I know what it looks like when a team has folded. Houston is not a strong eight-win team, but they are physical. I expect them to pull away in the second half.

Grayson Grundhoefer (6-5) — Baylor 31, Houston 30

This senior group finds a way to win this game against a mediocre Houston squad. Sawyer Robertson puts together one of his most efficient games of the season, and his pass catchers come through. Connor Hawkins buries a game-winning field goal, and Baylor goes bowling.

Levi Caraway (8-3) — Baylor 27, Houston 24

Houston is the better-coached team, but the Bears have considerably more firepower on offense, and Sawyer Robertson wins his final game at McLane Stadium to give Baylor a bowl berth.

Sam Bradshaw (9-2) — Houston 31, Baylor 27

Baylor has the talent to win this game. Houston has some significant flaws, but I’ve seen two or three less-than-perfectly rounded offenses beat up this defense with the QB run, and I think it strikes again. I would love to be wrong, but I assume it’s another loss and no bowl for Baylor.

Winnable for sure.

Baylor largely playing for pride, not sure the bowl is that important to them. A lot of key players are seniors maybe playing their last college game. Even if they get a bowl it may be the last college game for the NFL prospects.

Houston I'm sure will be pretty amped up for a 9 win season with potential for 10 in a bowl.

I don't expect a big turnout from BU fans, but hopefully they surprise us.

Pretty even matchup, Houston with momentum and motivation, Baylor with physical talent.

It likely comes down to fortunate bounces, forced turnovers, special teams and most of all coaching strategery.

Tight contest for most of the game, but I fear the fourth quarter of doom.

If it comes down to coaching, we know who will win

Agreed. Fritz is a very good coach.

I don't see Houston letting up. Baylor might make it interesting until the wheels fall off later in the game. Baylor clearly isn't ready for a bowl this year even if by some miracle they pull tomorrow off.

Unfortunately, I think Houston wins by double digits. We are just not a well-coached team. We are what our record says we are.

Don't like the weather today. Baylor has had issues with damp fields and slick footballs.

Gonna have to eliminate the turnovers and dropped passes to have a chance.

No disrespect, but which NFL prospects are you referring to? Outside of Sawyer getting a shot somewhere as a free agent, I don't see any, unfortunately.

That's about all you need. Without those two it would not be pretty. I should have also added the portal transfer prospects.

TNT hosts just picked 4 for 4 in favor of Houston.

That gives Baylor a chance.

Just heard one say Trigg isn't playing? Bad news.
