You'd think Tounde would use his size and strength more when attacking. Fading and weak when finishing tendency a problem

Unpopular but if he fails miserably again next year ( this season will be a huge failure ) then BU needs to start considering life after Drew. He needs to show he's willing to adjust

I love Scott Drew and appreciate everything he's done for our program, but I wish he had taken the Kentucky job. I said as much at the time that I would prefer a Grant McCasland-type coach, and that was our opportunity to make a clean break without having to fire a legend.

I don't think we'll ever fire Drew. And we probably shouldn't. But it certainly looks like we're just headed for a sad, mediocre ending to his time in Waco.

Bring in "the Bob's" from Office Space. We need some efficiency consultants to figure Baylor athletics out.

Baylor has to do the same in Football and Men's Basketball, or join the FCS

From all media reports, our basketball NIL budget was in the Top 25 (most said Top 10) last year and again this year. Not sure money is the sole issue.

Agbim and Rataj were coveted targets. They're just not good. And Skillings was on his way to joining that list before his injury today.

Why can't Tounde Yessefou dribble a basketball? His ball-handling is abysmal.

Speaking of another guy on the disappointment list.

This is just embarrassing.

This team is bad.

Yeah I'd never advocate for firing the guy unless things truly bottom out. But Drew's out of excuses imo l. Especially if Bu truly does have a top 20 NIL fund. There's zero reason Drew can't build and sustain a roster. Unless of course he doesn't want to. And it certainly appears that's the case

Kelvin Sampson just improved to 10-1 against Drew. Yikes.

Drew won the biggest one, but still ... yikes.

Can we panic yet? According to some we weren't allowed to after TCU (despite a billon red flags) what about now? 10-5 (0-3) and firmly looking like a B12 bottom feeder

Rebuilding an entire roster was always going to be a crap shoot. Definitely some talent but major struggles playing as a team and maintaining any consistency.

Season isn't over. They could hit a second gear and find a groove but if we can't do anything on offense besides ISO ball then it's going to be a long season. If we can't improve the defense then it's going to be a long season.

Love Drew. He's earned the right to take his time figuring out how to build a roster at BU in the age of NIL but it doesn't mean games will be easy to watch. I don't like excuses but losing centers multiple years to injury and a young actual PG to the portal have been tough to rebound from.

I think the better option would be just to divest until we have a team worth that type of angst. This team is just not very good. There's no reason to live and die with it the rest of the way, because we've already seen which we'll be doing more of in Big 12 play.

I know most of those are from his OU days when Drew was struggling to build something from the ashes Bliss left, but yeah, the way Sampson has left us in the dust since we put that FF beat down on him in '21 is both embarrassing and depressing.

To be a student right now, and not much to celebrate in athletics. It all starts at the top… Linda, Mack, and the BOR. What are our accountability/success metrics for athletics?

This is called not getting a good return from your investment unfortunately.

vs. TCU

Agbim 6 points
Rataj 5 points

vs. Iowa St

Agbim 5 points
Rataj 8 points

vs. Houston

Agbim 6 points
Rataj 6 points

You touched on my biggest problem. Scott Drew's teams are no longer fun to watch. The last two years, in particular, have been a brutal watch.

Programs that used to be peers are punking our ass on the regular, and we have no answers for any of it.

It's not just those two, though. You could throw Skillings and Yessefou on there and it would look the same once you actually dove into the efficiency numbers.

Even Carr has become a low-efficiency volume scorer since Big 12 play began.

This team just has a big bag of nothing when playing top Big 12 teams.

In the NIL/transfer portal age, I'm done living and dying with these teams. These are entertainment products. If they're not entertaining, I'm becoming a casual.

I'll still watch the games on TV and post my thoughts on game days, but I'm not investing much in between. In the past, you could at least take solace during down years that something was being built out of the ashes. Now it's just a new ****ty team every year.

The school has completely fumbled one of the best athletic years in major college sports history.

This organization simply can't get out of their own way. It's structural.. the Doug Hail Mary hire has to work or it's a wrap.

I'll leave y'all to it until any of the major teams can play quality ball.

I expected to lose to UH. It was evident we don't have the horses to beat them. Same when we play the other 4 top teams in the conference.

What bothers me is that we have become the same team as last year: just an awful product to watch because of overall inefficiency and lack of fundamentals. I love basketball, college basketball in particular, but this isn't gonna be a rush home from work or from gym to make sure I see our game season. And THAT, is a bummer.

Yeah it's officially time for me to get back to using my Saturdays to fish. Baylor as a program right now just isn't fun to watch. I can handle losing. Hell my pro teams are historically brutal. But I can't handle awful products. Both football and basketball have become terrible products. The best coaches Baylor team right now is the Softball squad. And even they aren't worth a crap

Yep, for all their arrogance, bluster , and condescension, both the whorns and the aggys would've killed to have had the year we had in 2021 that included a national championship in men's bball, an elite 8 women's bball team (that would've been a FF team as well if not for an absurd non-call on UConn at the end of the game), and a B12 Championship/Sugar Bowl Championship/Top 5 finish in football. And it furthermore looked like all the momentum was on our side……….and now look at us 5 years later. It truly is depressing.
