<chuckle>

Nice try, but all that tells me is you cannot make a solid argument.

Again, firing people is easy. You don't even know who we'd get, or how he'd do.

Bad plan, that.

Same question, then:

Who you gonna get that's better than Drew?

Specific names please.

Since you like to sit back and just object to everything..

  • Top Assistants/Rising Head Coaches:
    • Justin Gainey (Tennessee): Highly regarded for his role in Tennessee's success.
    • Kimani Young & Luke Murray (UConn): Key architects of Dan Hurley's championship culture.
    • Jeff Linder (Texas Tech): Recognized for offensive ingenuity.
    • JR Blount (Iowa State): A fast-rising name in the Big 12.
    • Dwayne Simpkins (American): Noted for rapid success in the Patriot League.
  • Mid-Major Coaches Ready for Next Step:
    • Bucky McMillan (Samford): Known for a fast-paced, high-pressure style.
    • Joe Pasternack (UC Santa Barbara): Consistently keeps UCSB as a top mid-major.
    • Mike Morrell (UNC Asheville): Turned a 4-win team into a 27-win program.
    • Bob Richey (Furman): Proven winner with a history of NCAA Tournament upsets.
    • Will Wade (McNeese): Rebuilt his reputation with immediate high-level success at McNeese.
  • Other Key "Next Up" Names:
    • Ross Hodge (West Virginia): Recognized for his defensive coaching acumen.
    • Alan Huss (High Point): Making significant noise in his first head coaching roles.
    • Bryan Hodgson (South Florida): Building a reputation for strong recruiting.
    • Daniyal Robinson (North Texas): Highly regarded for his leadership and team development.

I wonder if Baylor would do the same thing any school would do...reach out and ask if they would take an interview......

Ummm W T F is with this list? There are multiple names here that are already at programs other than what you've listed here.

Bucky McMillan and Will Wade say hi. SMH.

Google isn't always 100% percent accurate....but making the point that there are options for upcoming coaches to step in and take over the reins at Baylor

You're the one claiming these guys would come to Baylor.

Now you basically admit there's no evidence to support that.

You basically figure firing a Hall of Fame coach will cause lots of great coaches to come here.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

So your opinion is that if Drew retired or was fired down the line (not likely) that Baylor wouldn't be able to get a suitable replacement? Because that's just flat out wrong. Baylor is considered a good gig. The pop of coaches/assistants they could target would be huge

What I am saying, is that if you want a solid coach to come here, how you handle everything starting with your treatment of Drew will influence your prospective new coaches.

If you sell Baylor as a school which will ignore your record and throw away an HOF coach, you won't get a quality coach, especially given the budget we have demonstrated recently.

It's one thing for immature, impatient fans to make silly demands. That happens everywhere. But only morons would fire a coach because other morons get mad about our season.

People have the same sentiment with Dave Aranda. The victim mentality has infected the school, and fan base. That is why we suck now.

It is always "poor us" for everything athletics.

Drew gets fired for the result ON THE COURT you KCUF moron. No Corporate board in their right mind would operate a business (which is what sports are now) paying the CEO $5M a year + all the resources available to be unsuccessful and accept mediocre for that....

You want to keep Drew until he is in his 80's....Fine, but he needs to take about a 60% haircut to support his performance. Period.

And how short a memory do you have with a guy who basically flirted with the Kentucky job to get just another pay raise - - - You are more loyal to Drew than Drew is to Baylor.....

This is the guy over the years who claimed to be a Bear for life - - - the moment UK was even a whisper, he should have closed that discussion.

Tired of the claim that "he needs more time to figure it out".....HOF coaches should be able to figure it out faster than non-HOF coaches????

I don't follow basketball as much as football, but I'm watching today. Apart from the fact that this roster is very poorly constructed, is there any reason we don't have a point guard? Did we try to pick one up and whiff or did CSD just do nothing in the offseason?

Anyone who is still here watching this team play and posting about it daily hasn't quit on Baylor basketball. Those who have quit have just checked out on this ****show entirely.

Most of us are Baylor basketball diehards. But being a fan doesn't require you to ignore reality. And the reality is that our program is deep in the ****ter right now, and our hall of fame coach (who virtually everyone here likes and respects) seems to have no clue how to pull it out.

We've been headed in this direction for a long time. This season's dreadful results are the product and culmination of many (oft-discussed) missteps since our national title season.

Scott Drew largely has himself to blame if fans are currently skeptical regarding his ability to right this ship. Because it was his course -- and unwillingness to stray from it despite the obvious warning signs -- that have us staring at the iceberg in front of us.

Moreover, said outcome was visible from El Paso previous to the game. Actually observing things and working to better them isn't the same as quitting. And reality is not your enemy.
