LAS VEGAS, Nevada- Baylor men’s basketball (16-16) takes on Minnesota (15-17) in the first round of the College Basketball Crown Tournament on Wednesday, April 1, at 9:30 p.m. CT, at MGM Grand. The game will be televised on FS1.

Four assists at halftime says we're doing a really ****ty job of attacking this zone. We're doing way too much dribbling, standing around and passing mindlessly six feet beyond the arc. You beat a zone with quick, crisp passes, and we're sitting here trying to dribble the air out of the ball.

And Yessoufou is trying to do way too much. Just draw the double team and pass to the open man. This isn't hard. It's zone offense 101.

He's also just a really dumb basketball player. I'm sorry, but that's just a fact.

I hate that they're glazing Carr and Yessoufou at halftime of this game because both have been terrible tonight. Neither one has any idea how to attack a zone defense.

Williams, Agbim and Powell are the only Baylor players who deserve praise so far. And Skillings hasn't been bad, he just hasn't done much.

One thing we've done well so far is clearing the defensive boards. Minnesota is getting hardly any second looks.

We've also generally defended well other than the times Rataj has been blown by for layups.

I don't see any way Yessoufou makes it as a shooting guard in the NBA if he leaves this offseason. He would be chewed up and spit out in less than three years IMO.

He's a really solid post scorer and slasher and is excellent in transition, but I wouldn't touch him with a 10-foot pole if I was an NBA GM. He doesn't have the offensive skill set currently to succeed as a guard in the NBA.

Williams is going to have to get better at avoiding foul trouble. He's addressed his biggest offensive weaknesses this year, but that's an area he'll have to improve if he hopes to become an impact player for us.

We have as many assists in the first five minutes of the second half as we had in the entire first half.

Scott has got these guys playing much better offense since halftime.

The difference between the quality of play in this game and your standard NCAA tournament game is so remarkably wide.

I'm glad we're winning tonight, and I hope we win this tournament. But we've got a loooooonnnnngggg way to go to get back to the standard set in this program under Scott Drew.
