Baylor baseball finished the 2026 season with a 29-27 record and went 14-16 in conference play, under fourth-year head coach Mitch Thompson. After a late-season slump, the Bears needed to win the Big 12 Tournament to reach their first NCAA Tournament since 2019, but lost in the quarterfinals to the conference champion and No. 1 seed, Kansas Jayhawks, in extra innings.
