Top 40-Overall Prospect TJ Jamison Commits to Baylor Men's Basketball

Shreveport (LA) Calvary Baptist High School 2027 point guard Tyrone Jamison‍ has committed to Baylor. The four-star prospect becomes the Bears’ first commit in the 2027 recruiting class.

Jamison chose Baylor over his top six schools, which included LSU, USC, Oklahoma, Iowa and Miami.

The 6-foot-2 prospect led Calvary Baptist to a 32-6 record and an appearance in the 2026 LHSAA Finals. He averaged 20.5 points, 5.9 assists, 3.9 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 2.6 turnovers. He made 104 three-pointers and shot 37% from distance on the season. Jamison earned District MVP and First-Team All-State honors.

Head coach Scott Drew saw Jamison play for JL3 on the EYBL Circuit back in July. He averaged 16 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.8 steals at Peach Jam on his way to earning third-team all-circuit.

Baylor is building a little bit of a connection with the JL3 squad, as 2026 four-star signee Elijah Williams‍ played with them last year.

Jamison is a consensus four-star prospect, and his composite ranking is No. 36 in the 2027 class. His highest ranking is on Rivals, where he is ranked No. 34 overall, No. 11 point guard, and No. 1 prospect in the state of Louisiana.
