I'm really going to miss watching Montemayor pitch after he is gone this year. I think this is one guy who has flown under the radar of most Baylor sports fans. He is just a rock solid closer and one of the best relievers I have seen in a Baylor uniform over the last 20 years or so I have been following the baseball program. The best part is he doesn't do it by blowing fastballs by you. Does very well at mixing speeds and location. It's been pretty funny seeing the "This is the best they got?" look on visiting fans faces when this tiny looking kid comes jogging out of the bullpen in huge situations. Zane Carlson was also under 6ft himself. There is just something satisfying about seeing small guys send the 6'5 3-hole hitters back to the bench.

Great kid. Had already decided on Baylor before offered anything in Baseball. Several times Commissioners Honor Roll and all academic honors. Has a nice baseball resume, including Williamsport. Strauss attributes his success to a high spin rate on the ball and not getting shook. Just like Friday night, the first thing he did was walk the lead off guy, who was then bunted to second. No problem. I think he has ice water in his veins.
